Kids say...

I took my oldest 3 kids to Costco to buy them swim suits and to pick up some catfood. The poor cat has been trying real hard to get to the fish. I think the fish knows it too! To save the fish I thought I better remember to get catfood-and I did. The girls and I were at the checkout stand when the cashier told me my total was $52. I told the girls they were expensive dates...to which Trasey replied, "isn't a date a type of raisin?" Love it!

My sister Kayla could write a book with all the funny things that come out of her son Carter's mouth. One of my favorites was from a couple weeks ago. Carter is very proud that he is learning to write his letters and was practicing one day. He was working very hard writing CTR (choose the right). He said outloud, "C" and then wrote a C, then he says, "mom what comes next in CTR?"

Fish?...Food!!

Just a short post...

About 5 minutes after these pictures were taken the poor fish WAS almost fish food. Lucky I was in the room when the cat knocked over the bowl. It was totally cartoon-ish slow motion! I was typing up an email when I turn to look at the cat-just as she tipped over the vase. I had no choice but to play the hero/mom with half my offsprings watching. "Pick it up, pick it up! Just be brave mom!" those where their battle cries on my behalf. I did 'mom-up' and wrestled the slimy fish back into its vase. He lives to swim another day!

Wednesday

If being graded on grammer-what bad marks would you get for begining a sentence using the word "so...". It is often tempting to begin with that little 2-lettered word, but I do find that after re-reading a sentence I find that I can, in fact, do without it. Not always...so....

So, my older 3 girls and I were walking our miniature horses today (I'll have to write about them later). The day was colder than we expected because of the wind [I bet I have really bad grammer...I should write about that too]. We were on our way back to the house when I spotted something shiny on the side of the road (ooooohhhh shiny). I pointed it out to Trasey, my 11 year old, and she promptly picked it up. It was off of a Dodge Ram-maybe part of the wheel hub or something and it had a picture of a ram engraved in it. As she looked it over she proudly exclaimed, "Oh it's perfect for my ram collection" {insert loud laughing here}. Trasey does not have a ram collection. Her comic timing is classic!

Ending the day with a bowl of Icecream

I started out the day, slow as usual. Waking up at the crack of 10. Before I knew it the day had run past me like the Hare passing the Turtle in an endless race. Sometimes I'm the Hare with sudden bursts of brilliant speed, most of the time I'm the Turtle slow and sure (ok, maybe not so sure). It was amazing tonight as 1/3 of my kids were actually asleep before 10:00! I relished the silence by savoring a not so small bowl of Moosetracks Extreme Icecream. One of my very favorites. It consists of chocolate icecream with ribbons of fudge and little chocolate filled chocolate pieces (enough chocolate for ya??) Like my day it was gone before I knew it.
